Our commitment

We aim for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. Under the Equality Act 2010 we also want to make sure disabled clients aren't put at a disadvantage in accessing our services.

What we've done

A "skip to main content" link for keyboard and screen reader users
Visible focus outlines on every interactive element for keyboard navigation
Text colours checked against WCAG AA contrast ratios on their backgrounds
FAQ accordions and menus expose their state to assistive technology (aria-expanded)
Semantic headings, landmarks and descriptive link text throughout
A responsive layout that works when zoomed to 200% and on small screens

Known limitations

This is a demonstration website and a work in progress. Known gaps we plan to address before launch include: full keyboard testing of the interactive booking calendar, screen-reader testing with real assistive technology (NVDA/VoiceOver), and accessible PDF/Word versions of key documents.
