A passport application does not itself make someone British. Where citizenship must first be established or acquired, that is a separate assessment and may require a separate application and fee. We explain the appropriate scope before work begins.
Independent application support
HM Passport Office decides passport applications. You can apply directly through GOV.UK without paying LIA a professional fee. Our role is to provide the application support agreed in writing; we cannot promise a passport, an appointment or a processing date.
What to prepare
These are useful starting points, not a complete document checklist. We confirm the evidence needed for your circumstances.
- Whether this is a renewal or first passport
- The applicant’s age and country of residence
- Any current or previous passport and relevant nationality documents
- Any name change or family circumstances that may affect the application
What happens next
- Tell us your situation. Leave your contact details and a brief description. Do not send identity documents through the enquiry form.
- Discuss the right next step. We contact you for an initial 15-minute call about the service you need.
- Agree the work and fee. We explain the proposed scope, professional fee and separate government charges before you decide to proceed.
How much does it cost?
Passport assistance is quoted individually. Our £500 individual immigration application fee does not automatically apply to passport work. Any nationality assessment or citizenship application is scoped separately. You can apply directly to HM Passport Office without using a paid representative.
Official guidance
